Development of this customized solution

The "Qness 3000 A+ EVO" Makro Universal hardness tester was chosen as the basis for this special solution. This machine has the necessary stability, strength, robustness and is designed for industrial environments. However, this has been further developed for even larger and extended testing tasks for dimensions that surpass all other manufacturers on the market

Feature of the series solution, or near-series solution with extended slide 1000mm:

Solid steel frame with electrically driven test head for clamping components up to max. 3.200 kg.
Fully Automatic XYZ test progression for different sample heights
Moving speed is infinitely variable via potentiometer (patented) and automatic slowdown of the approach speed by detecting components on the test table (patented).
Automatic 8-position turret for free mounting of lenses and indenters.
Electronic load application (closed-loop) with test load ranges from 0,3-3000 kg
Control of the machine via external PC – System & Software QpixControl2 for simple and fast hardness measurements and comprehensive export functions and software features

Modifications and customizations

Many years of proven machine concept and know-how have been adopted and transferred to larger scales for even larger tasks.
Machine integrated in solid steel frame with Test table support perforated tabletop, plasma-nitride (1500x1000mm)
Extension of the test height to 650 mm instead of 510 mm.
Extension of the active travel paths to 1200x600mm and test height of up to 500mm. (instead of 460x350x520mm (l*w*h))
Freely accessible loading area from the front and the side with the crane.
A very well-conceived safety concept using a light barrier and CE safety enclosure made of Plexiglas for a view of the test area from all angles.
Start and emergency stop button, potentiometer and enabling button (rapid traverse) Are integrated in a removable hand control panel for ideal operation from any position around the machine

Description of operation

Large, heavy components can easily be placed on the attached Perforated tabletop using a crane or other lifting equipment. The components can be positioned there using the pins supplied, such as stop bars or special clamps etc. The plasma nitriding of the tabletop protects it against damage and wear.

With the 3-axis controlled portal solution, any test point can be approached very easily and ergonomically via the external control unit.

In further steps, all 3 axes can be automatically controlled for a fully automatic test sequence. The test sequence must be specially programmed and stored for this purpose.

This machine comes with all the familiar new features of the Qpix Control 2 operating software using the 3D operating concept and includes project modes and all common export formats.
