Heet inbedden is een proces waarbij materialografische preparaten in gemalen harskorrels vlak-parallel worden samengedrukt met behulp van een gesloten cilinder.
De hete inbeddingstechniek zorgt voor een hoge randscherpte, biedt een optimaal behoud van de randen en is bijzonder geschikt voor toepassingen met een hoge verwerkingscapaciteit. Het wordt echter afgeraden om deze techniek te gebruiken voor hitte- of drukgevoelige monsters.

EPO black
De QPREP warme inbedvorm EPO zwart is een thermohardende verbinding op basis van epoxyhars bestaande uit fijne zwarte korrels voor het routinematig inbedden van preparaten.
